This past weekend, NOLA Gold Rugby proudly hosted the Urban Rugby Championship at the Shrine on Airline, welcoming over 200 young athletes for a day of competition, camaraderie, and community. With teams traveling from across the country, the tournament showcased the growing impact of urban rugby programs and the power of the sport to bring people together.

Each roster featured 12-15 players, ensuring fast-paced, high-energy matches throughout the day. In the end, Memphisclaimed victory in the girls’ division, while Chicago took home the boys’ championship title. Every team demonstrated incredible passion, skill, and sportsmanship, making the event a true celebration of the game.
