A Royal Flush rules the Gold this year! NOLA Gold Rugby is thrilled to announce our leadership lineup for the 2025 season: Moni Tonga’uiha as our captain, with Jonah Mau’u and Luke Campbell serving as vice-captains. With this winning hand, we’re ready to Reign as One this season!
Moni Tonga’uiha
Born in Oakland, California, Moni Tonga’uiha began his rugby journey with the Oakland Warthogs in high school and further honed his skills at the Santa Barbara Rugby Academy. Moni joined NOLA GOLD in 2018 and has been a cornerstone of our team, reaching the milestone of 50 caps in April 2022. His leadership on and off the field exemplifies dedication and passion.
Jonah Mau’u
Fom New Zealand, Jonah Mau’u brings an impressive rugby pedigree to NOLA GOLD. Born in Canberra, Australia, Jonah has Samoan and Croatian heritage. Before joining NOLA GOLD, Jonah played for Northland in the Bunnings NPC and was part of the Moana Pasifika squad in Super Rugby Pacific.
Luke Campbell
Luke Campbell, born in New Zealand, has been a dynamic presence at the scrum-half position. He began his senior rugby career with Bay of Plenty in 2016 and later played for the Hurricanes in Super Rugby. Luke joined NOLA GOLD before the 2023 season, bringing a wealth of experience from his time in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship and France’s Pro D2 league.
With this leadership trio at the helm, NOLA Gold Rugby is poised for an exhilarating 2025 season. Their combined experience, skill, and dedication set the stage for a campaign where we truly Reign as One.
